Having been in business management for over 30 years, with two decades spent in senior management positions, I’ve witnessed the transformative impact of sound business principles firsthand.
I started running the show at a small Technical Recruiting Agency in Calgary. It was just me and a secretary at the beginning, but fast forward, and we grew the company to over $60 million in revenue annually.
Eventually, I climbed the ranks to become Senior Vice President, pivotal in expanding the company to become Canada’s largest privately owned Engineering Agency. We’re talking revenues soaring past the $400 million mark. One of the highlights of my journey was being part of the team that orchestrated several acquisitions, using my knack for connecting with people to integrate these new firms into our corporate family smoothly.
Through trial and error, with a lot of specialized coaches and training I have come to understand that a strong framework is instrumental in surmounting obstacles and maximizing profitability. This wealth of experience has allowed me to recognize both warning signs and pathways to success within small to medium-sized businesses.
